When this occurs it is possible to discontinue the package, however, this must be done before there are any sales, transfers or adjustments are recorded against the package. Discontinuing the package will move the package tag into your "inactive packages" tab and will send the quantity of the package back into the originating package or harvest. For example, I have a harvest batch from which I want to create packages of flower and shake/trim. When I create the first package, I accidentally create a concentrate instead of flower: <img src="/uploads/packages/create-pacakge-wrong-item.jpg" width="800" alt="Create Package Wrong Item"> When I go back to finish my harvest, I see I have my one package, but the package information is wrong: <img src="/uploads/packages/wrong-package-item.jpg" width="1300" alt="Wrong Package Item"> Because the package is just sitting there with no activity, I can discontinue the package by clicking the black X on the far right column, then confirming the response when asked by Metrc if I want to discontinue. <img src="/uploads/packages/discontinue.png " width="700" alt="Discontinue"> Once the package is discontinued you can find the package tag in your inactive tab and you can verify that the weight of the harvest has been restored: <img src="/uploads/packages/discontinued-inactive.jpg " width="1300" alt="Discontinued Inactive"> <img src="/uploads/harvest/harvest-after-package.jpg" width="1300" alt="Harvest After Package"> # Package Adjustments in Metrc "Action Reasons" are the values available in the dropdown in Metrc when adjusting a package, rejecting a transfer, returning a sales delivery, or recording plant waste. # Types of Adjustments <table> <tr> <th>Action Reason</th> <th>Description</th> </tr> <tr> <td>API Adjustment Error</td> <td>Used to correct for a superfluous or duplicate adjustment made by a 3rd party API system</td> </tr> <tr> <td>API Conversion Error</td> <td>Used to correct for an incorrect amount or unit of measure from a 3rd party API system</td> </tr> <tr> <td>During License-to-License Transfer</td> <td>Used to correct amount of a package if transfer accepted with incorrect weight</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Entry Error</td> <td>Used to correct data entry mistake (e.g. typo, wrong unit of measure)</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Hemp Inventory Adjustment</td> <td>Used by **Hemp Handlers only** to document hemp not transferred to a OLCC license being transfered out to the general market</td> </tr> <tr> <td>In-House Quality Control</td> <td>Used by producers and processors to document <a href="https://wiki-or.metrc.com/trade-sample-quality-control" target='_blank'>quality control samples</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Moisture Loss/Gain</td> <td>Used to account for drying</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Package Material</td> <td>Used if weight in Metrc incorrectly included packaging weight</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Plant Death</td> <td>Used if plant dies</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Sample Destroyed (Lab Use Only)</td> <td>Used when testing is complete and lab sample is destroyed</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Scale Variance</td> <td>Used to account for differences in scale precision</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Spoilage</td> <td>Used to account for spoilage of perishable item</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Theft</td> <td>Used to account for theft of item;
