**Processing Jobs became active in Metrc on 4/15/23. Since that time the production batch checkmark has not been available.** “Processing Jobs” replace the previous method of recording processing activity in Metrc on April 15, 2023 (OAR 845-025-7575). The new method of reporting will consolidate processing into a stand-alone workflow that better tracks the way in which processing actually occurs. Some of the benefits of the new method of recording processing include: * Ability to account for “in progress” processing that may extend beyond a single business day. * A workflow that automatically sets a processed package as a “production batch” in Metrc, without relying on users remembering to check the box each time. * Multiple outputs being able to be created from the same input material. * A direct method to account for waste of spent input material after processing has concluded. * Methods for licensees to see and track their processing activity (including yield rates and other details) independent of individual packages remaining in their inventory. * Better accounting of what is being made and how. **You can test out the new processing jobs in a sandbox environment at https://xp.metrc.com/!** # Resources ## OLCC Created * Processing Jobs in Metrc Guide - step-by-step directions on how to create processing job types and processing jobs in Metrc. * Processing Job Type Template - for use before Processing Jobs go live in Metrc on 4/15/23. You can copy and paste the information from the template into Metrc. * Processor SOPs and Mix Logs Template - processors are required by OAR 845-025-3230 to create and maintain written, detailed standard policies and procedures (“SOPs”) and mix logs. ### FAQs * **Do I need to record quantities in Metrc every day for active processing jobs?** * No. You only to to record the packages and waste created at the end of the processing job. While a processing job is active it is exempt from tag requirements/daily updates in Metrc (OAR 845-025-7520(2)(b).) * **When do I need to create packages in Metrc from processing jobs?** * Packages do not need to be created in Metrc until the processing job is complete (OAR 845-025-7520(2)(b).) * **Can I have a processing job type that runs from usable cannabis to crude oil then to distillate?** * Yes, your processing job types can include multiple SOPs. You can use packages of cannabis to create a single package of distillate (or multiples) without creating any packages in between (OAR 845-025-7520(2)(b).) * If you prefer to know your yield of crude, then you would need to create 2 processing job types, one for creating crude oil and another for creating distillate. Once the crude is created you would place it in a package and then run that package through your distillate processing job. * **I made a mistake and created a processing job as a standard re-packaging. How do I correct this?** * If the packages can be discontinued (no activity since they were created) please discontinue them (x on far right side of screen) and create them again using Processing Jobs. Be sure to backdate the processing job(s) to when the activity physically happened. If you can’t discontinue some of the packages you can leave them as is. They will remain in violation of (OAR 845-025-7575) and can be tested, etc. Please note that since they were not marked as production batches, if any package related to the source packages is ever tested your packages will change to whatever the related lab sample status is. This means if a package of bud is tested later and fails for pesticides, descendants of your package at retail may suddenly change to TestFailed. This is one of the reasons it’s extremely important to mark production batches. ### Videos These videos were recorded using a pre-release version of processing jobs in Metrc. **The videos have no sound and are meant to be a visual aid to accompany the Processing Jobs in Metrc Guide**. The current production version may be slightly different. Having problems seeing the videos? There are two options * Click the button to open the video in full screen.
